In the modern telecommunications world, information security and cyber security are key issues. The cooperation between FORTIX and DIGI in this field has been flourishing since 2015 and they have implemented several successful projects together. In this case study, we present a particularly important project dealing with the classification and compliance of critical system elements of DIGI, one of Hungary’s largest telecom operators.
The authority has classified DIGI as a national critical infrastructure operator for several infrastructure elements, and thus they are subject to BM Decree 41/2015. The affected system elements included critical assets such as network routers, telephone exchanges, satellite and cable TV servers and related IT infrastructure servers.
During the implementation of the project, our experts carried out the following tasks:
At the end of the project, the OVI forms per system element, the OVI form and a management project summary were delivered. The cooperation between FORTIX and DIGI in this area has also been successful and as a result of the project, the classification of DIGI’s system elements has been completed and the outstanding requirements have been identified, which will contribute to the improvement of the company’s information security.
The successful collaboration between FORTIX and DIGI demonstrates not only the success of a project, but also the depth of expertise and commitment we can provide in the area of information security. In today’s telecommunications and IT world, security challenges are increasingly complex and companies need a trusted partner – like FORTIX – to meet these challenges. The success of the DIGI project shows that FORTIX is able to respond efficiently and professionally to the most complex security challenges. For other companies, this is a clear indication that FORTIX is one of the best choices when looking for expertise and reliability in information security and cybersecurity.
